Riverside Football Club
Riverside Football Club - encouraging, promoting and developing junior football

The Club

Riverside Football Club was formed in 1998 by Jeff Lynch and Steve Watson. It originally consisted of one small sided team based at the Riverside in Chester le Street. Jeff remained with the Club as Secretary until 2003; his hard work and dedication built the solid foundations that enabled the club to flourish.

As the number of teams increased, the club moved to its current home at the Hermitage School in Chester - le - Street although the under 12 RAR's and U18's play their home games back at the Riverside.

There are currently 19 teams proudly wearing the Club’s colours of yellow and black; these range from under 7 ’s to under 18’s and include 3 girls teams. All teams are affiliated to Durham FA and compete in the Russell Foster Youth Leagues.

The Club which is run on a voluntary basis is managed through a committee, with a Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer. Click here for more detail of our Committee.

We were awarded the FA Charter Standard in July 2005 and we intend to strive to ensure that the children are provided with a safe environment in which to develop there skills and enjoy playing football.
