Riverside 2 - 4 Seaburn
Scores Chris Holmes and Daniel Mason
Riverside deserved a share of the points in this very physical game and took the lead half way through the first half when chris ran clear of the seaburn defence and calmly slotted the ball past the keeper into the corner.Seaburn Levelled before half time with a powerful shot that found the top of the net to make the score 1-1 at half time.Seaburn took the lead just after the break when the ball was squeezed in from a tight angle and went further into the lead when a shot was deflected in the the net of a riverside player.Again the boys did not let their heads drop and pulled a goal back when Chris clever ball was finished well by Daniel.The boys pushed for an equaliser but were caught with a few minutes to go when Seaburn broke and made the final score 4-2.
Riverside FC 1-5 Washington

Even though the scoreline does not suggest it this was quite an close game in terms of chances but it was Washingtons better finishing that won the game and gave them the deserved 3 points.Washington took the lead from a corner that was attack well in the box and headed in the corner of the net.Washington went further ahead from a quick break that was finished well by the striker .As i said we head our chances the best was created by Chris whos excellent turn and shot on the edge of the box went just over the bar so at half-time the score was 2-0.Unfortunately the boys were caught again by another quick break that put them 3-0 down but they stuck to there task and were rewarded when Ross fired in a great shot from outside the box that found the bottom corner of the net.Washington 4th came from a long throw in that was not cleared and the fifth came from a scramble in the box with a few minutes left to make the final score 5-1.
Riverside FC 2-0 Redby Whites
Scorers - Chis Holmes and Ben Blackburn
Riverside started the game well winning most of the battles on the pitch and were rewarded 1/2 way through the first half when they won a corner. The ball put in was perfect as Chris's header beat the Redby keeper and the defender on the line and found the corner of the net.
Redby started to get into the game at the end of the first half but the boys were still holding their own and it was still 1-0 at half time.
Riverside players shaded the second half but with no clear cut chances for either team until 5 minutes left there was a good shot from Ross which was well saved by the Redby keeper. Ben was the quickest to react when he was first to the ball and tapped it into the net to make the final score 2-0.
Riverside RC 0 - 3 Hilda Park
The Boys Battle hard but came up against a very good Hilda Park Team who passed and moved the ball very well.Riverside had a couple of half chances early on but Hilda Park were playing the better football and took the lead after ten minutes with some good work on the left found the centre forward free in the box who bundled the ball into the net to make it 1-0 at half time.The same move was repeated early in the second half to make it 2-0 . Riverside were unable to create any clear chances and with about five minutes remaining Hilda Park were award a free kick which was struck well and went into the net off the bar to make the Final scoreline 3-0.

Riverside continue their lose one win one start of the seasons as their dominated this game From start to finish.The first goal was scored after five minutes when Ryan showed great pace to run onto a through ball that found him one on one with the keeper and his calm finish made it 1-0.The second came shortly after when the ball was layed back to Thomas and from distance his powerful shot was only parried by the keeper and found the bottom corner of the net.The third goal came just before half time as Ross beat his man on the left cut into the box and lashed the ball into the top corner.The second half was the same story and midway through the half the ball came in from the right and Daniel found himself space in the box to tap in the fourth.The scoring finished with 5 minutes of the game to go when Chris follwed up well to nod in the fifth as the keeper parried a Riverside shot.
Riverside 1 - 4 Fulwell
Scorer - Ryan Forsyth
Riverside went from one extreme to the other and started this game terrible and soon found themselves not 1 but 2 nil down after about 5 minutes they nearly snatch a goal shortly after going two nil down but Fulwell were much the better side with Daniel the only one shinning .Fulwell made it 3 - 0 five minutes before halt time after the ball had hit the ref.This was the scoreline at half time and after a few words from the manager the boys came out much stronger in the second half and made a game of it and were unlucky to go four nil down when they conceeded a free kick on the edge of the box which Fulwell Finished Well.Riverside did get some reward for there second half performance when Ryan finished off a good move a few minutes from time to make the final score 1 - 4.
Riverside FC 4 - 0 Elemore Boys

Riverside got off to a great start, they were first to the ball and passing well and were rewarded after 5 minutes when Chris;s intelligent flick found Daniel on the right and his good ball into the box found Ryan who calmly slotted the ball into the net.Riverside kept the pressure on Elemore and scored a second when they won a corner and Adam found Daniel free in in box and his side footed volley made it two.This was the score at half time and the boys continue in the same vain in the second half and got the third goal with a Brilliant strike from Adam from well outside the box found the corner of the net.The Fourth came midway through the half when Daniels deflected cross/shot found the Elemore net this ended the scoring with the final score 4 - 0 to the boys.
Riverside FC 2 - 0 East Durham

Riverside started the game well and created a lot of chances and were rewarded when after 10 minutes Daniel ran down the wing and put a low cross into the box, Chris was first to the ball as he slid the ball into the bottom corner of the net this ensured Riverside went into half time one nil up.The second half was pretty much the same storey as Riverside dominated the game and secured the win near the end when Chris passed to Ross on the edge of the box and his powerful shot went into the top of the net to make the full time score two nil.
Riverside FC 0 - 1 Easington Colliery AFC
Riverside started slowly and were punished when Easington won a corner after five minutes when the corner was put into the box Easington won the header which was saved by the Riverside keeper but after a scramble the Easington striker taped the ball into the Riverside net.This seemed to wake Riverside up and they started to control the game but were unable to find the Easington net and went into the half time break trailing by the single goal.The boys still dominated the game in the second half the best chance came when Ryan found himself one on one with the keeper after a through ball from Alex but the Easington keeper made the save that kept the score at 0 - 1.

Riverside FC 1 - 0 City of Durham
Scorer - Chris Holmes
First Game of the season ended in victory. This was a hard fought game with both battling hard and defending well. The deadlock was broken midway through the first half as Chris came in from the left and his long distance shot beat the City of Durham goalkeeper and hit the roof of the net. This was the end of the scoring as both teams cancelled each other out with their equal hard work in stopping the opposing team creating any clear chances.
Riverside FC 0 - 1 Deerness Valley Lightening
This was a very even contest with very few openings. Riverside came the closest midway through the first half as Matthew's header hit the outside of the post but just before half-time the Deerness Valley centre-forward broke free and found himself one on one with Harry in the Riverside goal. The forward finished well slotting the ball in the corner of the net. The boys battled hard but could not break down the Deerness Valley defence. The closest they came to an equaliser was from another header when Ben narrowly glanced his header wide from a free kick.
Riverside FC Under 9s played in the Plains Farm Summer Fate on 01/07/2007 After Finishing Runners up in the Group Stages went on to Play Easington in the semi Finals and then Waldridge in the final and came away champions.
